08/04/2021

Harrisburg, PA - The Wolf Administration today announced a partnership with Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs to offer free COVID-19 vaccines and educational resources at fairs across the commonwealth.

“We continue to see Pennsylvanians infected with COVID-19, which reinforces the importance for people to get vaccinated as soon as possible,” Acting Secretary of Health Alison Beam said. “We are excited to partner with Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs to offer vaccines to attendees.”

Individuals can get a free COVID-19 vaccine at these county fairs:

Additional COVID-19 vaccination clinics at county fairs are currently being planned. County fairs interested in offering a COVID-19 vaccination clinic and or distributing COVID-19 educational resources to fair-goers should contact the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

“Pennsylvania is back and so are the more than 100 agricultural fairs that offer a chance to thank the farmers that feed us today and grow agriculturalists to feed us tomorrow,” said Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding. “This return to normal should not be taken for granted though, Pennsylvanians have worked hard to get us here and should not let their guard down. It’s for this reason that I’m thrilled to see this partnership between the fairs and Department of Health come to fruition, it’s one more opportunity for Pennsylvanians to take advantage of another weapon of defense against COVID-19 to protect this return to normal.”

“We’re happy some of our member fairs have the ability to accommodate COVID-19 vaccination clinics during their individual fair events and participate in the statewide effort to provide vaccinations in our rural communities,” Harry Reffner, Secretary-Treasurer of the Pennsylvania Association of County Fairs said.

The Department of Health is working to ensure the vaccine is provided in a way that is ethical, equitable and efficient to all Pennsylvanians:
