Physician General Visits COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic for Ages 5 and Older in Chester County

Parents encouraged to schedule child’s vaccination appointment now

12/02/2021

West Chester, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Health Physician General Dr. Denise Johnson today joined Chester County Health Department Director Jeanne Franklin to promote the ongoing vaccination clinic serving ages 5 and older at the Chester County Government Services Center.

“The pediatric vaccine is safe, and it is highly effective at protecting children against COVID-19-related illness and hospitalization,” Dr. Johnson said. “Vaccinating children against COVID-19 is the best way to keep families, schoolmates, and communities healthy and safe this holiday season. To parents with a child ages 5 and older, I encourage you to get them vaccinated and give your child the power to safely learn, play and be a kid.”

The Chester County Government Services Center vaccine clinic is located at 601 Westtown Rd, West Chester, PA, 19382. It is open to everyone age 5 and older by appointment on Tuesdays through Fridays:

  •     Tuesdays from 9 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.;
  •     Wednesdays from 12 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.;
  •     Thursdays from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; and
  •     Fridays from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

All three COVID-19 vaccines are available at the clinic in addition to the Pfizer pediatric vaccine, vaccinations for immunocompromised individuals, and those eligible for booster shots. Sign up for vaccination at this clinic here.

“Getting this free vaccine remains vital as it provides fewer opportunities for COVID-19 to spread and mutate,” Director Franklin said. “As for deciding where to schedule an appointment for your child, it is important to think through where they will feel most comfortable. That could be your doctor’s office, a larger-scale school clinic, or at our vaccine clinic here in West Chester. You know your child best.”
