Fine Wine & Good Spirits to Host Former Pro Hockey Players of Spittin’ Chiclets at Bottle Signing in Philadelphia

11/12/2019

Philadelphia – The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) will host Ryan Whitney and Paul Bissonnette, former professional hockey players and hosts of Spittin’ Chiclets, the most popular hockey podcast in the U.S. and Canada, on Thursday, Nov. 14, starting at 5:00 PM at Fine Wine & Good Spirits Premium Collection, 180 W. Girard Ave., Philadelphia. They will meet with fans and sign bottles of New Amsterdam Pink Whitney Pink Lemonade Vodka.

A native of Boston, Ryan Whitney was the fifth overall pick in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He played with the Pittsburgh Penguins for several years before moving on to pro teams in Anaheim, Edmonton, and Florida. He finished his career overseas, playing in leagues in Russia and Sweden.

Paul Bissonnette, a native of Ontario, Canada, was also drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins. Over the course of his professional career, he also played for Phoenix and in leagues in Canada and the United Kingdom.

New episodes of Spittin’ Chiclets air Mondays and Thursdays on Barstool Sports. The podcasts focus on the NHL and professional hockey, but Whitney and Bissonnette touch on pop culture and stories from their playing days.

New Amsterdam Pink Whitney Pink Lemonade Vodka was inspired by Ryan Whitney’s favorite drink: a mix of award-winning New Amsterdam Vodka and pink lemonade. Starting at 4:00 PM on Nov. 14, complimentary in-store tastings of New Amsterdam Pink Whitney Pink Lemonade Vodka (code 0679; $10.99) will be available in conjunction with the bottle signing for customers 21 years of age and older.

Every person in line must have purchased at least two bottles of New Amsterdam Pink Whitney Pink Lemonade Vodka.

The PLCB regulates the distribution of beverage alcohol in Pennsylvania, operates more than 600 wine and spirits stores statewide, and licenses 20,000 alcohol producers, retailers, and handlers. The PLCB also works to reduce and prevent dangerous and underage drinking through partnerships with schools, community groups, and licensees. Taxes and store profits – totaling nearly $18.5 billion since the agency’s inception – are returned to Pennsylvania’s General Fund, which finances Pennsylvania’s schools, health and human services programs, law enforcement, and public safety initiatives, among other important public services. The PLCB also provides financial support for the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs, other state agencies, and local municipalities across the state.
