The Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission (PHRC) today published eight videos that provide a brief overview about the types of discrimination that are addressed by the Commission.
These videos are now available to the public and can be found on the PHRC website under “PHRC News and Announcements.” The videos are also available in Spanish.
The explanatory videos are part of the PHRC’s efforts to reach out to the public and further educate Pennsylvanians about the services that the agency offers.
“It is the goal of the PHRC to educate the public about policies such as the PA Human Relations Act, which protects Pennsylvanians from discrimination, and the requirement under the PA Fair Educational Opportunities Act for fair educational opportunities for all Pennsylvania students,” said JoAnn Edwards, Executive Director of the PHRC. “The Commission created these videos in the hopes of further disseminating our mission and message across the Commonwealth.”
The PHRC is charged with upholding Pennsylvania’s anti-discrimination laws and promoting equal opportunity for all Commonwealth residents.
