Anthony J. O’Hara Promoted to State Police Captain

Harrisburg, PA – Acting State Police Commissioner Robert Evanchick has promoted Anthony J. O'Hara to the rank of captain and assigned him as the director of the Intelligence Division in the Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

Captain O'Hara enlisted in the state police in 1994 and was assigned to Troop S, DuBois after graduating from the academy. He was promoted to corporal in 2005, sergeant in 2009, and lieutenant in 2012. As he progressed through the ranks, Captain O'Hara also served in Troop H, the Bureau of Training and Education, Bureau of Integrity and Professional Standards, Department Discipline Office, and the Bureau of Communication and Information Services, where he most recently served as the commander of the Radio Services Section.

Captain O'Hara is a 2016 graduate of the FBI National Academy.
