ADVISORY – TOMORROW – VIRTUAL BRIEFING – Wolf Administration to Announce Projected Climate Impact Risks


On Wednesday, Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Secretary Patrick McDonnell, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn, and Department of Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding, along with Harrisburg Environmental Justice community leader Rafiyqa Muhammad, will announce Pennsylvania Climate Impacts Assessment 2021. DEP Environmental Justice Director Allison Acevedo will also be on hand for questions.

The assessment projects a 5.9° F increase in statewide temperature by midcentury and related risks for health, Environmental Justice communities, ecosystems, farms, and other aspects of Pennsylvanians’ lives, underscoring the critical need to take action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and do our part to address climate change.
