Philadelphia, PA – Today, DEP Secretary Rich Negrin will be touring Philadelphia to highlight community leaders and organizations enhancing Hispanic culture and quality of life on the first day of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Secretary Negrin, the first Latino to be appointed as Secretary of the Department of Environmental Protection, has worked under the Shapiro Administration to strengthen DEP's focus on environmental justice in an effort to ensure every Pennsylvanian has access to clean air, pure water and to the preservation of natural resources.

Secretary Negrin will visit Hunting Park to thank volunteers from Hunting Park Green who are working to achieve economic and environmental justice in their neighborhood.
