DGS Renegotiates Road Salt Contract, Saves Taxpayers Nearly $15 Million

The Bureau of Procurement successfully renegotiated its COSTARS-enabled Sodium Chloride (road salt) contract that gives local public procurement units the opportunity to take advantage of the contract, receiving the same pricing and terms and conditions as state agencies.<br><br>DGS invites COSTARS members to participate in the road salt contract for the approaching August 2024 – July 2025 season and submit a new participation agreement.

Department of General Services Announces Capitol East Wing Renovation Project Construction to Commence in July 2024 with Anticipated August 2025 Completion

With the implementation of Executive Order 2023-18, the Department of General Services has raised the revenue limit threshold from $38.5 million to $47 million so more small businesses can qualify and seek state contracting opportunities.<br><br>By raising the revenue cap, the Commonwealth is aligning with the Small Business Administration’s revenue threshold for small businesses – and Governor Shapiro has supported legislation that increases the number of employees a business can have to qualify as a small business.
