Department of Human Services Hosting Job Fair for Rewarding Service Careers at Ebensburg Center


Ebensburg, PA - The Department of Human Services (DHS) is hosting a job fair at the Ebensburg Center Wednesday, November 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The center is a live-in facility that provides extensive support for people with intellectual disabilities including daily living, social skills, medical care, and vocational training. There are multiple positions available and those interested can apply on-site at the job fair.  

“Our dedicated staff are vital to the success of Ebensburg Center and each play a role in giving our residents the quality of care they deserve,” said DHS Acting Secretary Meg Snead. “We’re excited to hire more people of different careers and skills that are all committed to supporting people with intellectual disabilities. Employees in all roles play an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team that provides 24/7 care to residents. The center focuses on a person-centered approach for services, and employees in all roles can make an impact on and support residents’ daily lives and care. Open positions include Licensed Practical and Registered Nurses, Residential Services Aides and Aide Trainees, Social Worker, Dentist, Food Service Worker, Electrician, Maintenance Repairman, and more. Positions include training and educational opportunities that can help staff grow their career with Ebensburg Center and the commonwealth.

Applicants should bring two forms of ID to assist with completing an I-9 verification.  The fair will take place at the “Hub” and there will signs directing visitors to the job fair. Ebensburg State Center is located at 4501 Admiral Peary Highway, Ebensburg, PA.
