Harrisburg – The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) today welcomed local officials and the public to the grand openings of two Fine Wine & Good Spirits Premium Collections in the Pittsburgh area.
At 2:00 PM, the PLCB cut the ribbon on the Fine Wine & Good Spirits Premium Collection at Wharton Square, 1955 Wharton St., Pittsburgh. With about 6,000 square feet of retail space, this store features almost 3,850 wines and spirits. This store had closed for refurbishment on Saturday, May 18.
At 4:00 PM, the PLCB dedicated the refurbished Fine Wine & Good Spirits Premium Collection at Village Square Mall, 5000 Oxford Dr., Bethel Park. With almost 7,000 square feet of retail space, this store features more than 5,500 wines and spirits. This store remained open during its refurbishment.
To celebrate these grand openings, all in-store wines, spirits, and accessories were 10 percent off during business hours. Customers also received free six-bottle tote bags, while supplies lasted.
Both stores carry the popular Chairman’s Selection® products, which are hand-selected, highly rated wines available at significant discounts from nationally quoted prices. A wine specialist at each location will help customers select the perfect wine for any occasion. Both Fine Wine & Good Spirits Premium Collections offer luxury products, Premium Collection spirits, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere for consumers to browse the extensive selection.
These stores each have a “Made in Pennsylvania” section to highlight wines and spirits produced in the commonwealth. Also, they feature Pennsylvania Lottery ticket sales.
Throughout design and construction, the PLCB was committed to developing stores that are attractive and environmentally responsible. The majority of store lighting is state-of-the-art LED or energy-efficient compact-fluorescent lighting, using a fraction of the energy of traditional lighting.
