Robert L. Bailey Promoted to State Police Lieutenant

Harrisburg, PA – Acting State Police Commissioner Robert Evanchick has promoted Robert L. Bailey, a native of Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, to the rank of lieutenant and assigned him as the commander of the Recruitment Services Section. He most recently served as regulatory coordinator and legislative liaison for the Policy and Legislative Affairs Office.
 
Lieutenant Bailey enlisted in the state police in 2007 and was assigned to Troop J, Avondale, upon graduation from the academy. As he progressed through the ranks, Lieutenant Bailey served in Troop J and the Bureau of Integrity and Professional Standards. He was promoted to corporal in 2013 and sergeant in 2016.
 
Lieutenant Bailey holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Millersville University and is currently pursuing a doctorate degree from West Chester University. He is also a graduate of the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety School of Police Staff and Command.
