Robert S. Ligon Jr. Promoted to State Police Lieutenant

Harrisburg, PA – Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Robert Evanchick has promoted Robert S. Ligon Jr. to the rank of lieutenant and assigned him as the station commander of Troop H, Chambersburg. He most recently served as the patrol section supervisor at Troop H, Newport.

Lieutenant Ligon enlisted in the state police in 1992 and was assigned to Troop H, Lykens after graduating from the academy. He was promoted to corporal in 2010 and to sergeant in 2015. As he progressed through the ranks, Lieutenant Ligon also served in Troop H, Lykens and Troop J, Avondale and Lancaster.

Lieutenant Ligon is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a graduate of the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety School of Police Staff and Command.
