Gerard B. McShea Promoted to State Police Lieutenant

Harrisburg, PA – Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Robert Evanchick has promoted Gerard B. McShea to the rank of lieutenant and assigned as commander of the Investigative Services Section in the Bureau of Criminal Investigation. He most recently served as supervisor of the Criminal Investigation Section in Troop K, Philadelphia.

Lieutenant McShea enlisted in the state police in 2003 and was assigned to Troop K, Media after graduating from the academy. He was promoted to corporal in 2012 and to sergeant in 2015. As he progressed through the ranks, Lieutenant McShea also served in the Patrol and Criminal Investigative Units in Troop K and in the Bureau of Integrity and Professional Standards.

Lieutenant McShea is a graduate of Albright College.
