The State Ethics Commission is seeking a professional highly motivated experienced individual to fill a full-time investigator position for the Eastern Regional Office in Harrisburg. Intrastate travel is required, including occasional overnight stay.
The successful candidate is responsible for conducting public corruption investigations including financial conflicts of interests of public officials and public employees at the local, county and state level, which may result in criminal prosecutions. Duties include interviewing witnesses, preparing detailed investigative reports, and conducting financial record reviews.
A Bachelor's Degree in Criminology or related field and three years of experience conducting criminal fraud, internal theft, or similar investigations. Experience is required. Strong written and oral communication skills are needed, and experience with Microsoft Office Suite is preferred. Salary range is $52,851.00 to $61,634.00 and is commensurate with experience.
