Harrisburg, PA – The 58th All-American Dairy Show kicked off Sunday, September 19 at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center with 317 students from eleven states competing for Youth Showmanship title in the Premier National Junior Show. Fifty students from two- and four-year colleges and universities in 12 states, and 74 secondary students from FFA and 4-H chapters in 13 states competed in the Invitational Youth Dairy Cattle Judging Competition.
Maryland and Pennsylvania Youth Take Top Prizes in Youth Showmanship
In the Youth Showmanship contest, pitting young people against their peers across the country in a test of breed knowledge and livestock-handling skills, Olivia Lesher, age 20, of Bernville, Pa. won the senior division. Caroline Kimbell, age 14, of Millington, Md. took the intermediate division. Vivian Malott, age 10, of Smithburg Md. won the junior division.

Florida, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri Teams Invitational Youth Dairy Cattle Judging Competition
Kaskaskia College in Centralia Ill. won the two-year college division of the Invitational Youth Dairy Cattle Judging Competition. The University of Minnesota won the collegiate division. Missouri 4-H took the overall 4-H competition and Lafayette High School FFA Chapter in Mayo Florida won the FFA division. Full results and photos are below.

Youth competitions continue throughout the day Monday, Sept. 19 with Premier National Junior Show, which concludes with selection of the supreme champion cow and heifer at 6:00 PM.
All-American Dairy Show events contineue through Wednesday, September 21 and are open to the public. Parking and admission are free.
