Dredging Project to Begin at Erie’s Walnut Creek Marina

05/11/2018

HARRISBURG, Pa. (May 11) – The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) announced today that it will begin a dredging project at its Walnut Creek Marina in Fairview, Erie County, beginning Monday, May 14, and warned boaters that they will experience lane restrictions when entering and leaving the channel into Lake Erie.

Work will be performed between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. During that time, the channel will be restricted to one lane, allowing only one boat at a time to enter and leave the marina. Under normal conditions, boats can enter and leave simultaneously.
Dredging is expected to be completed within two weeks.
The Walnut Creek Marina and access area provide lighted paved parking lots, a building with PFBC officials, a weigh station and rest rooms. Licenses also can be purchased at the marina.
