09/13/2023

HARRISBURG, PA - With escaped prisoner Danelo Cavalcante now captured, the shooting range on State Game Lands 43 has reopened.

The range was closed to the public on Sept. 12 as the manhunt for Cavalcante took place in the area.

Game Commission shooting ranges are open from 8 a.m. to sunset Monday through Saturday, and noon to sunset on Sundays not immediately preceding or within any regular firearms deer or bear season. On those Sundays, hours are from 8 a.m. to sunset.

Those using Game Commission firearms ranges must have a valid hunting or furtaker license, or shooting range permit, or be the guest of an authorized range user. Range users also must follow additional regulations, which are posted at ranges and available at www.pgc.pa.gov.
