Harrisburg, PA - The Wolf Administration will host a COVID-19 vaccination clinic for commonwealth employees, their families and the public on Aug. 4, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Commonwealth Keystone Building, 400 North Street, Harrisburg.
“Getting vaccinated gives us the power to fight COVID-19 and provides the best protection against the COVID-19 virus and variants, including the highly transmissible Delta variant,” Acting Secretary of Health Alison Beam said. “This event, and other vaccination clinics in communities across state provide an opportunity for you and your families to get vaccinated.”
The vaccination clinic is open to the public, and no registration is necessary. The Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine will be provided for eligible individuals 18 and older. A limited supply of the Pfizer vaccine will also be available for school-aged children 12 and older; second doses can be scheduled with the Department of Health or another vaccine provider.
“We felt it was especially important to offer this clinic in the Capitol Complex as temporary telework due to the pandemic ends and some employees return to the office on a full- or part-time basis,” said Secretary of Administration Michael Newsome. “We hope the central location and availability of paid leave to get the vaccine will encourage as many employees as possible to participate.”
Employees and the public are also invited to enjoy food and refreshments in Soldier’s Grove, where the Pretzel Spot Café food truck and the Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Association will be on-site from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
